Overview

Night is the flashlight world. The board is completely dark. You cannot see targets, tiles, or grid lines until you pick up a piece and drag it around. While dragging, the piece's attack range acts as a flashlight, revealing hidden targets within reach. You probe the board to find targets, remember where they are, then place your pieces and submit. It is part puzzle, part spatial memory challenge.

Welcome to Night world. It's pitch black here! The piece you hold is a flashlight -- drag it around to sweep the dark and reveal the hidden targets near it. Place all your pieces, then submit to light the beams and see if you covered them all.

In-app intro dialog

The Mechanic: Flashlight reveal

Night hides everything. The board renders pitch black with no visible checkerboard or targets. The piece you are holding acts as a flashlight: while dragging it, targets within its attack range fade into view. Place all your pieces, then submit to fire the beams and see if you covered everything. This turns the puzzle into a two-phase process: explore with your flashlight, then commit based on what you found.
