Ice gameplay
Ice is the multi-hit world. Regular targets light up when any single piece covers them. Frozen targets need two different pieces covering them simultaneously. A queen hitting a frozen target on two different lines still counts as one piece. You need a second, separate piece to also reach that square.
These snowflakes are frozen solid -- it takes TWO pieces on one to crack it. The pips under a snowflake count how many are on target.
In-app intro dialog
In Ice, some targets are frozen solid. A single piece covering a frozen target is not enough. You need two different pieces to both attack that square before it cracks. The pips beneath a frozen target show how many pieces are currently covering it. This forces you to find placements where attack patterns overlap on specific squares.
Bishops, rooks, and queens. Coverage overlap is key
Starts with two pieces on a 5x5 board and a mix of regular and frozen targets. Grows to four pieces on 7x7 boards where most targets require double coverage.
